Following the implementation of the Windsor framework I have sought advice from relevant organisations regarding shipping and customs implications. As a maker in Northern Ireland there remain many challenges in obtaining materials, alongside hurdles in accessing routine and legally required processes which form a necessary part of my making. As many of you know I make from scratch by hand in my studio and therefore my pieces are considered a product of Northern Ireland. This clarity has allowed me to resume shipping to ROI.

I continue to give consideration to the directional changes which may continue to be required in light of US Tariffs but at present have decided to continue the pause on US, EU and ROW shipping.

Ready to ship items are usually dispatched within 2 to 3 business days but can be up to 10 working days in exceptional circumstances.

Made to order items usually take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to be dispatched. Bespoke engagement rings and wedding bands may have a longer dispatch time depending on the need to source specific gemstones and materials.

Please Note duties and taxes incurred at the point of entry to the destination country are the responsibility of the customer.

Please Note that Aileach Moon is unable to contact the carrier in your region once Royal Mail has passed the package to your local courier. Aileach Moon will provide tracking details by email upon dispatch.

United Kingdom Shipping FREE

I use Royal Mail Special Delivery for all items over  £80. This is because many items are unique one-off pieces which may not be easily replicated. Additionally, in order for Royal Mail to compensate for loss or damage of valuables such as jewellery, the Special Delivery Service must be used. Royal Mail Tracked 24 is generally used for items under £80.

Republic Of Ireland Shipping FREE

Goods going to the Republic of Ireland from Northern Ireland do not currently need a customs declaration (HMRC, August 2023). Therefore to enable you to receive your parcel quickly I post all ROI parcels using An Post tracked, Registered and Next Day Express

Europe Shipping FREE NO LONGER AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME

I ensure all my pieces are Hallmarked with the Common Control Mark (CCM) at Edinburgh Assay Office. I ship to most countries who are signatories to the International Hallmarking Convention and therefore accept the CCM as a legal quality mark of precious metal fineness.  Luxembourg and Germany do not require a Hallmark as a pre-market authorisation and so Aileach Moon ships to these countries. 

France, Spain and Belgium have additional requirements regarding the importing of jewellery and therefore I currently do not ship to these countries.
